Snoop Dogg Wants To Rent Liechtenstein

Not a Craigslist ad

For those geographically unaware, Liechtenstein is a country, not an East German baby toy.  Snoop wanted to rent the entire country, and everyone in it.

Rapper Snoop Dogg wanted a large outdoor set for his new video – and tried to hire an entire European country.  The request surprised authorities in the state of Liechtenstein – population 35,000 with an area of 61.7 square miles between Switzerland and Austria.  Local property lease agent Karl Schwaerzler said: “We’ve had requests for palaces and villages but never one to hire the whole country before.”  He admitted: “It would have been possible.” But the deal fell through because Snoop’s management “did not give us enough time”.

It would have been possible?  What, if Snoop had called with more than 3 days notice, the entire country would have had to show up for a 2-day music video shoot?  Are you people crazy?  Are you strapped for cash?  Hint: They are not strapped for cash.  Liechtenstein has the highest GDP per person in the world.  They have more registered businesses than they do people!

This story is bizarre.  I guess everyone has a price.  If only Snoop wasn’t so stoned and did some better planning, the D-O Double Jizzle could have rented out a whole country and all its inhabitants therein.  WTF.
