Or Maybe Young People Are Dramatic

by Commodore on May 25, 2010

Well stop hanging out on cliffs.

There is a new study that claims young people (18-35) are much more lonely than those older than 55.  No shit!  Young people are neurotic, try too hard, worry about relationships/babies, are always looking for a purpose in life, and generally “don’t know shit” when compared to someone over 55 years of age.  That’s why they tell you that they are lonely at times.  They are lonely because they are an impossible hormonal ball of chemical reactions.

Nearly 60% of those aged between 18 to 34 questioned spoke of feeling lonely often or sometimes, compared to 35% of those aged over 55.

Christ, a 22-year old girl can feel lonely because she spent 4.5 seconds by herself.  22 year-olds are emotional.

The report also found gender differences, with more women than men reporting loneliness, and more likely to feel depressed as a result.

Like I said, women are emotional.  And hey researchers, people over 55 are enjoying something we like to call peace and quiet, but you’re calling it loneliness.
