And the argument always ensues, “Which response was worse?” Ok that probably never happens but I realized that writing it that way makes Browtf seem like a legitimate opinion organization. Anyhow, here is another example of an absurd cause leading to a ridiculous effect.

A 12-year-old US schoolgirl is suing the New York City authorities for $1m (£650,000) in damages after she was arrested for writing on her desk.

Ok, before we can figure out which reaction was more ludicrous we have to know what she wrote.

Miss Gonzalez was caught scribbling “I love my friends Abby and Faith” on her desk during a Spanish class in February.

“I love my friends” gets you dragged out of class and arrested? I thought you would have to write, “Hitler is my idol. Let’s make Jewish sandwiches for lunch!” in Hebrew class for that response. But before we dub the incarceration as “most ridiculous”, let’s think about $1 million for a 12 year-old. The average U.S. salary is about $46,000. So this 12 year-old is saying that her ”pain” is worth almost 22 straight years of working pain? What the fuck does she know? She’s 12. She doesn’t even know what an honest day of work is. And she won’t if she keeps screwing around in class and writing on her desk.

Insanity award goes to….the parents of the kid for suing for $1 million. They should be suing for $50 and some Pop Tarts.
