A general rule

A general rule

Ok before I get to the point, imagine being a repo man and imagine all the crazy shit you’ve seen in your life.  And now imagine for a minute all those things you never thought you’d see or experience.   Got em?  Ok cool.  Chances are none of them are this experience.

Shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, a man seeking to repossess the 2001 Ford Expedition of 28-year-old Krystal Gardner arrived at her home in the 10000 block of Landsdowne Drive in southeast Dallas, police said.  As the repo man, Luke Ross, was backing out of the driveway, Gardner tossed her 1-year-old child through an open window into the back seat of the moving sport utility vehicle, according to police reports. State law prevents vehicles from being repossessed if someone is inside.

A moving SUV…What’s funny is that Gardner knew the laws of repossessed vehicles.  Like an Army Ranger, she probably didn’t even flinch at the job at hand.  “Oh that motherfucker is taking my car?  Hang on a minute.” ….TOSS!  And you think that was the crazy part of Luke Ross’s day?  No the crazy part was when an episode of Deadwood broke out.

When Ross saw the infant in the back seat, he immediately put the car in park and began to get out, the reports say. Then, police say, a 15-year-old boy armed with a 12-gauge shotgun came out of the house and fired one round into the air and another at Ross, striking him in the leg.  Ross, who ultimately repossessed the vehicle, suffered minor injuries in the shooting.

What?!  Where did Wyatt Earp come from and what was up with the shot in the air?  I mean either it’s a shot in the air to strike fear or it’s a shot directly into the leg.  This kid pulls off the unorthodox warning shot – kill shot combo like he was playing with the guy.  Here’s what it’s going to sound like when I shoot you, and here’s me shooting you.   Impressive.

Now stop for a minute and picture being the repo man through all this.  WTF.
