Christian Bale Might Have Killed Someone

Murderer!

Murderer!

Just because something happened in the same area where an actor once stood, doesn’t make it national news.  Actually, it IS national news and that is why my WTF-panties are in a bunch.

In 2008, while Bale was filming Terminator: Salvation in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he rented a home with a dead body buried in the yard, TMZ.com reports.

That’s an interesting way to write that sentence.  It seems like the dead body was on the bill of lease.  2.5 baths, 3 bedrooms and a dead guy rotting out back.

Police told the gossip Web site that Bale had no idea the body of Michael Snyder, who had been missing for eight years, was languishing on his property.

Oh for fuck’s s- 8 years!  Of course he didn’t know it was there!  I would be willing to bet that out of every place I have rented out in my entire life, some sort of murder or rape has taken place near by over the past 8 years.  It’s not like the first or 708th thing you think about when you rent a place is, “Gee, I wonder if there is a guy’s body out back that has been decomposing for the last decade?”  How the hell is this even being talked about?

Bale went on an infamous tirade in July 2008 on the set of “Terminator,” a recording of which was released in Feb. 2009.  The recording eventually went viral and Bale was forced to embark on a whirlwind damage control tour.

Ohhh right!  You thought that since Christian Bale went off on his DP and seems – all things considered – a little crazy, that if you titled your report “New Mexico house Christian Bale rented while filming ‘Terminator’ had dead body in yard: police” that we would all think that maybe HE killed and buried that person.

And we’ve hit a new low, everyone.
