So Easy A Caveman Could Do It

Yup, that's you sir. In the yellow.

Yup, that's you sir. In the yellow.

Most people in the Western world go through their worthless lives, trying to convince themselves that they are significant and that they really have a chance at winning the lotto because they “have a good feeling”.  These people usually die poor, overworked and miserable, while most people at their funeral are talking silently about fantasy football.  And then the world goes on.  If only they would have just learned from this guy, they could have been much happier.

Outside England ’s Bristol Zoo there is a parking lot for 150 cars and 8 buses. For 25 years, its parking fees were managed by a very pleasant attendant. The fees were £1 for cars ($1..40), £5 for busses (about $7).   Then, one day, after 25 solid years of never missing a day of work, he just didn’t show up; so the Zoo Management called the City Council and asked it to send them another parking agent.  The City Council responded that the lot attendant had never been on the City payroll.

The gimp.  Verbal!  Have you seen him?!?

The man apparently had a ticket machine installed completely on his own; and then had simply begun to show up every day, commencing to collect and keep the parking fees, estimated at about $560 per day — for 25 years.  Assuming 7 days a week, this amounts to just over $7 million dollars!

Slow…clap.

And no one even knows his name!

Standing up while slow clapping.

Thanks for playing all of us for a bunch of fools.  I love you sir.  Why waste tons of physical energy on getting paid when you can expend 2 ounces of brain energy and get people to pay you for doing nothing?  Now that is evolution.

Have a wonderful life.
