Yawning Is Now Illegal

That's true.

That's true.

Do not fuck with Judge Daniel Rozak.

As Circuit Judge Daniel Rozak handed down the cousin’s sentence — 2 years’ probation — Williams, 33, stretched and let out a very ill-timed yawn.  Williams’ sentence? Six months in jail — the maximum penalty for criminal contempt without a jury trial. The Richton Park man was locked up July 23 and will serve at least 21 days.

Holy Toledo.  I’ve seen more restraint from the Gestapo at a Bar Mitzvah.  On a “What One Should Never Do” Scale, fucking with Judge Rozak is slightly smarter than riling up a male lion, but slightly stupider than sneaking up on Jack Bauer.  Then again, Vincent LaGuardia Gambini was held in contempt of court because the next words out of his mouth were not “guilty” or “not guilty”, so I guess judges can be sticklers.

Rozak’s order sentencing Williams to 6 months in jail found that he “raised his hands while at the same time making a loud yawning sound” that caused the judge to “break from the proceedings.”

And who says the jails are overcrowded?!  Clifton Williams will sit in jail as long as Donte Stallworth did.  And all Dante did was run over and kill someone while drinking and driving.  *Yawn*  I know…this talk of sentencing is enough to put you to sleep, ain’t it!
