Washington County’s “Bunny Lady” is back in the hutch after violating a court order not to own or control animals for five years. Miriam Sakewitz, 47, was arrested again Tuesday at a Tigard hotel after an employee reported finding rabbits hopping around in her room.

Police said she broke into the facility where the survivors were being cared for in January 2007 and stole most of them back. Authorities found her a few days later in Chehalis, Wash., with eight live rabbits and two dead ones in her car. Another 130 were recovered at a nearby horse farm.

Ho-ly SHIT. This makes Glen Close in Fatal Attraction look like the spokesperson for PETA. I don’t even have to write anything clever on this, it pretty much speaks for itself. 100 dead rabbits in a freezer? I wonder if this woman would be Cruella Deville’s hero. I guess if she had wanted a coat made of bunnies instead of Dalmatians these two could have been like Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari. . . that’s right, Bosom Buddies. On a quick side note, is there any chance Peter Scolari won’t read this article? I’m sure he Googles his name pretty often and I can’t imagine there are any other new Peter Scolari stories on the ole internet. Man, I bet he HATES Tom Hanks. Anywho. . . .

Sakewitz was placed on five years probation, banned from owning or controlling animals and was told not to go within 100 yards of a rabbit.

How in God’s name will they enforce a restraining order against a rabbit? I hope whatever judge signed that died a little inside. Maybe to the point where he feels worse about himself than Peter Scolari.
